Sadie Taylor Smith

Belton-- Funeral services for Sadie (Taylor) Smith, 75, of Belton, will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Eldon Ray Featherston officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013, from 6PM to 8PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Sadie passed away, July 15, 2013, at her home in Belton. She was born December 20, 1937, in Killeen, Texas, the daughter of Robert Lee Taylor and Jessie Thomas (Edwards) Taylor. She lived in Central Texas her whole life and attended Belton Lighthouse Church. She was married to Rannie Riddle, Sr. from 1954 to 1965 then later to Larry Gene Haire, Sr. from 1966 to 1982. Sadie loved to play Bingo and Dice and taking care of the children at the church nursery. She loved a good cup of coffee and taking care of her entire family. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Billy Joe Riddle; two brothers, Garland Taylor, Jr., Aubrey Taylor; four sisters, Dorothy Taylor Pruitt, Bobbie Taylor Pruitt, Bettie Taylor Ragsdale, Ona Mae Maddux; and four great grandchildren. She is survived by five sons, Kenneth Riddle, Leonard Riddle, Larry Haire, Jr., Robert Haire, Rannie Riddle, Jr.; six daughters, Doris Salyers, Joann Henager, Tommie Armold, Wilma Christine Moya, Sadie Ware, April Pagel; two brothers, Ennis Taylor, Leonard Taylor; fifty grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
