Jewel Dean Isaacks

Funeral services for Jewel Dean Isaacks, 86, of Belton will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur Washburn officiating. Burial will follow at the Moffat Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Isaacks died Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in a Belton Nursing Home. Mrs. Isaacks was born January 25, 1927, in Moffat, the daughter of Sude E. K. Brown and Ima Pearl (Stewart) Brown. She married Paul D. Isaacks, November 5, 1957 in Bell County. She worked as a nurse's aid for many years. She was a long time member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Belton. Mrs. Isaacks was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Isaacks, March 26, 2003; by one son Claude Alton Isaacks and two daughters Betty Jo Weaks and Vera Faye (Weaks) Bruton; by one brother Edward Brown and two sisters Leona Ballard and Edith Matthews. Survivors include three sons Harold Wayne Weaks of Moffat, Rickey Alton Shelton of Belton and Paul Vondal Isaacks of Gatesville; two daughters Vernell Childress of Belton and Sharon Ford of Belton; two brothers Leon Brown of Belton and Darrell Brown of Belton; one sister Frances Drake of Belton; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
