John S. Regester

January 20, 1932 — June 4, 2018

Graveside services for John S. Regester, 86, of Temple, will be held at 2PM Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Little Flock Cemetery in Temple, with Brother Tony Hughes  officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home.

Mr. Regester was born January 20, 1932 in Belton, the son of Arlie Roy Regester and Margie Edgar Regester in lived in San Antonio , Kansas City, Missouri and Hot Springs , South Dakota until the death of his father at age 16 in 1947.  Then the family moved to Theford , Nebraska and graduated from High School in 1950.  He went into the Marines in March 1952.  After the Marines he went to Barber School in Omaha , Nebraska , in April 1954.  Later moved to Denver , Colorado and received his Cosmetology license and became a successful hairdresser.  He lived in the mountains of Sedalia , Colorado for the next 45 years as a hairdresser and in real estate sales.

Survivors include his son Bruce Babad and his wife Jan, two grandsons Miles and Julian; sister Marie Painter and  husband Robert of Temple; two nephews Chris McFarland and Michael McFarland and cousin Carol Hadja and her husband Frank; and cousin Johnnie Edgar.

Memorials may be made to the William R. Courtney Veterans Home in Temple
