W.T. Vaden, 92, of Kerrville passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his home in Kerrville.
Funeral services for Mr. Vaden will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Pastor Mike Lewis officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Moffat Cemetery.
W.T. was born on April 21, 1926 in Bell County to William and Pearl (Tobias) Vaden. He grew up in the Bell County area and attended schools here. Mr. Vaden joined the US Army during World War II and served overseas during which he was involved in several battles including the battle of the bulge. He was honorably discharged in 1949 and he began working in the construction business. Mr. Vaden worked for many years as a drywall contractor, moving to Kerrville in the early 70's, where he lived until he retired. He was a mason.
W.T. is survived by two sons, Frank Vaden of Kerrville and Fred Vaden of Moffat, daughter Ann Wood of Moffat, grandchildren Amanda Maroney, Kayla Warren, and Frankie Lee Vaden, and great grandchildren Hannah Maroney, Hayden Maroney, Naomi Warren, and Jericho Warren.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:30 -7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
