Winnie Mae Roper

Winnie Mae Roper, 94, of Hilltop Lakes, TX., passed away on March 28, 2024. Her family will be having a private graveside service at the Houston National Cemetery.

Mrs. Roper was born on July 23, 1929, in Walnut Grove, MS., to Houston R. Johnson and Gertrude (Jackson) Johnson.

She married Kenneth D. Roper on May 20, 1948.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Roper, Sr. They were married for 59 years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gwendolyn Davidson; and Susan Smith and husband John; one son, Kenneth Roper and wife Neely; 8 grandchildren Shane Kaechele, Jimmy Kaechele and wife Laura, Alison Scott and husband Alan, Christopher Woolery and wife Aspen, Nichole Rihn and husband Andy, Cade Roper and wife Tiffany, Steven Kimbrell, and Logan Roper and wife Courtney; 13 great grandchildren, Casper Kaechele, Tucker Kaechele, Brennan Wyckoff, Aiden Scott, Addy Sonneland and husband Adam, Livia Woolery, Tatum Woolery, Sam Rihn, Riley Rihn, Peyton Roper, Piper Roper, Grayson Roper, Rayleigh Roper.
