William "Bill" Henderson

William "Bill" Henderson passed on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in his home. A memorial service for Mr. Henderson, 74, of Belton will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton, TX. Reverend Andy Davis will be officiating.

He was born on January 30, 1946 in Belton, TX. His parents were William Henderson and Glenda Wilson Henderson. He married Connie Rice on June 14, 1968 in Temple, TX; with whom he enjoyed with for another 52 years.

Bill Graduated from Temple High School, the National FBI Academy in Quantico, and Baylor University. He became a Temple Police Officer and served for more than 26 years and retired in 1997. After retiring, he was able to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a Western style artist. Bill became a member of the “Texas Wild Bunch”, a professional artists association, and exhibited his works across the state. Bill has paintings in private and corporate collections at TAMU and UMHB.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Connie Henderson, his daughter, Laurie Galloway, and his two grandsons, Mark and Tyler Galloway. He has three sisters and three brother's-in-laws: Sherry Rowan, Kay Hart, Fay Toon, Woodson Rowan, Ronnie Rice, and Ronnie Toon.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the new church construction fund for the First Baptist Church, 506 N. Main Street, Belton TX., 76513.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service on Wednesday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
