William Douglas Ellard

William Douglas Ellard ‘Bill’ ‘Pepaw’ 72, Vietnam Marine Corps Veteran, of Belton, Texas, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 1st, 2022 at Baylor-Scott and White in Temple. He was born to parents Johnnie Ell Ellard & Telitha Ann Calhoun, on September 15th, 1949, in Anahuac, Texas. Bill was a man who lived many lives, experienced many things, taught many lessons and loved his family above all. He is survived by his granddaughter/ adopted daughter Autumn Ellard Smith & her husband Jacob Smith; his 3 loving great grandchildren Stella Mae Smith, Peyson Douglas Smith, & Layna Brielle Smith; his sister Nita, brothers Jimmy & John (Skipper), & other loving family members including nieces, nephews, in-laws & a RoRo. He was proceeded in death by his son William Ellard Jr. “Bee”, mother Telitha Ann “momma”, his grandmother & grandfather, George & Ruby Calhoun. A graveside service will take place with military honors on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. A private wake/ Celebration of life will be held January 16th at 1:00 at his granddaughter's home. He is loved and missed by all who knew him. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
