Wanda Lanelle Clawson passed away January 13, 2024, peacefully at her home, surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Friday, January 19th, 2024, Burial will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery, Flat, Texas

Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 18th, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home.

She was born May 4th,1934 Flat Texas to parents; Winford (Billy) Williams, Bennie Brazzil Williams.

Wanda was married to William (Rogers) Clawson March 17,1951 at Cold Springs Baptist Church Flat, TX.

Wanda lived in Temple TX, where she worked 22 years as a teacher at Nettleton’s Kindergarten. She also taught young married women at church and led a nursing home ministry with her friend, Betty Bounds for 20 years. She and her husband, Rogers, were R.V.’ers. Traveling all over the US and Canada and especially enjoyed their yearly trip to Colorado. Wanda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: music, telling humorous & sentimental stories, along with quality time with family & friends. She would say, “you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. She also mentioned she wanted to finish her race of life strong and hear the words “well done” at the finish line. She loved God, & she faced her own death with a calm assurance of eternal life. She is now celebrating her eternal hope in heaven with her husband, parents, siblings, and a host of family & friends who have gone before her.

Wanda is survived by her son Darrell his wife Mary Clawson, & their son John. Her other son Randy and his wife Linda Clawson of Georgetown TX & their children, Eric, John Mark, Heather, Delphine, & Courtney.  Her daughter Lisa her husband Wesley Farr of San Antonio, and their children Ryan, & Meagan. and 22 great Grand Children

She was preceded in death by her parents her siblings and her spouse, William (Rogers) Clawson, October 13, 2009.

Memorial donations may be made to Anchor of Hope Baptist Church of Belton TX.
