Vicki L. Ivey, 73, of Holland, Texas, remained at her and Bill's 'little red brick house' with her loving and faithful daughters, Trish Garrett and Jennifer Bara, and her loving and devoted Sons-in-laws, Tony Bara and Dennis Garrett by her side;as she left this world to be with Jesus and reunited with her dear Bill.
Vicki's merciful passing ended a long and difficult life of endless health battles. Through all the suffering she endured over many years, she never lost her faith, her joy for life and above all her deep love for her dear family.
She is at eternal peace now rejoicing in the presence of God and reunited with her soulmate, Bill in Heaven forever. Vicki is missed dearly and the memories of her beautiful life and love live on in the hearts of her family and friends and so many others she touched with her loving, kind, giving Soul.
Vicki Lynn Etter-Ivey was born on July 3, 1949, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas, the daughter, of Lois Price-Etter. She graduated from Hobbs High School in the spring of 1966. She met Billy Wayne Ivey in Belton, Texas in the winter of that same year. They were inseparable after meeting and joined in marriage at First Christian Church in Belton on June 10, 1967. Their love story and marriage was blessed by God with two beautiful and loving daughters, Patricia Lynn Ivey-Garrett and Jennifer Kay Ivey-Bara.
Vicki enjoyed a most rewarding career at RVOS Insurance, helping her fellow workers and company clients from April 10, 2006, until she had to leave for health reasons on June 27, 2014. She was a loved and valued team member at RVOS Insurance, and she held the same regard for RVOS and her fellow workers.
In addition to her daughters and sons-in-law previously mentioned, Vicki is dearly missed, loved and forever in the hearts and thoughts of her beloved granddaughter, Emily Ashton Duran and her husband, Noah Duran, their son and Vicki's pride and joy, great-grandson, Colby Duran; her loving and devoted grandson, Tyler Biskup and his wife, Mandy Biskup; her loving brother, and life-long sidekick and co-conspirator in high-jinks, Charles Etter and his wife, Linda Etter; niece, Calise Etter-Belote and her husband, Chris Belote, their daughter, Hayley Holden Barraque and son, Liam Belote, niece, Tessa Etter-Shaner and her husband, Aaron Shaner and their son, Kellan Shaner and daughter, Vivienne Shaner and many, many other loved family members too numerous to list.
Vicki's dear, dear Sister that she never had by birth but definitely had in life, Bill's loving sister Dean George and her wonderful husband and Vicki's spiritual mentor Jeff George. Dean brought Vicki such wonderful companionship and joy and spent many nights and outings with her enjoying their own special kind of fun. Jeff was a dear and loving spiritual guide who helped Vicki renew and reaffirm her relationship with the Lord in preparation of her journey home!
And last but so not least, Vicki's beloved and constant companion for the last years of her life, her dear Yorkie, Bella (Belle-Belle). If ever there were a perfect match and companion to help Vicki ease the pain a bit of losing her beloved Bill, Bella was that and so much more.
Rest in God's Glory, joy and peace dearest Vicki, until we meet again!
