Thomas Edward Chamberlain, 84, of Temple, TX, unexpectedly passed away at his residence on November 16, 2023 following a short illness. His Memorial service will take place on December 2, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church in Temple.
Tom was born on November 3, 1939, in Galveston, TX to Arthur Chamberlain and Valasta Bess Kristek. He graduated with a degree in pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin in 1961.
He married Nancey Sattler, his loving wife of 60 years, on July 4, 1963. They moved to Temple in November of 1963, where they have lived since. He started his working career as a pharmacist at UTMB in Galveston before moving to Scott and White Hospital in Temple and then owning his own pharmacy for 12 years. He also worked as the pharmacy director at HEB for over 23 years before retiring.
Tom dedicated much of his time helping others in the community. He was an active Rotarian for many years, including serving as President of the Rotary Club of Temple and District Governor from 2002-2003. He was also secretary and president of the Emeritis Medicus club. He loved gardening and listening to classical music. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Nancey Chamberlain; his daughter Cheryl Huebel and her husband Fred Huebel from Houston Texas; his two grandsons Cole and Kyle Wilkerson, his cousin Sharon Cleary and her husband Donny, and his puppy Cassie.
Memorials may be made to Rotary International, Christ Episcopal Church, or CTLC.
