Terry Mack Hood

November 28, 1947 — February 26, 2024

Terry Mack Hood, 76, of Belton died peacefully at his residence February 26, 2024.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Hood was born November 28, 1947, in Belton, the son of John and Charlene Hood.   He was a proud Belton Tiger athlete, lettering in multiple sports.  Terry met the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Janet Roen, while attending Belton High School.  He graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Mr. Hood followed many career paths, but his loves were building houses and coaching.  He could not go many places without being greeted by a former student.  Terry was a deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Belton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Troy Hood.

Above all else, Terry's pride and joy were his grandchildren, Codie, Casie, Caleigh, Raylan, Noah, Sophie, Georgia and Emily.  His legacy will live on through each of them.  He is also survived by his wife, Janet Hood, daughters April Robinson and husband Terry, Hope Booker, and Kimberly Haney and husband Bobby; brother Tommy Hood and wife Jo Anne; and sisters-in-law, Glena Hood and Karen Walsleben; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Baylor Scott and White Hospice, Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Holland-Barkis for their care and support.
