Stephen Wesley Linder

Stephen Wesley Linder of Dallas, TX passed away July 10th, 2023, at 11:08 am in Temple, TX where he resided with his youngest twin son until his death. Stephen was born on August 27th, 1948, in Alameda, CA and later grew up in Austin, TX where he was raised by his parents Annie Bess and Wesley Harrell Linder. Stephen attended Travis High School in Austin, TX and was drafted into the US Army at 19 years of age on May 14th, 1968, where he served in Vietnam and was Honorably discharged on February 20th, 1972. Stephen was married to Kathleen Almquist in February 1969, until September 1972 and had twin sons, Raymond and Randall. Stephen later met the love of his life, Loemma Irene Holt, from Grand Prairie, TX and married her in Dallas, TX on April 30th, 1977, and was happily married to her until his death. Loemma still resides in Dallas, TX in a nursing home. Stephen was preceded in death by both his parents, Annie and Harrell, and his younger sister Syndie. He is survived by his sons and their wives, Randy and Diane Linder, Ray and Trina Linder, his six grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Vallie, Maelynne Linder, William Linder, Matthew Linder, Creed Linder, and Jonathan Linder, his three great-grandchildren, Niyah, Mila and Edwin, as well as his sibling and their spouses, Eugene and Betty Linder, Donna and David Hutchison. Graveside services with military honors will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 11463 State Hwy 195, Killeen TX, 76542 on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023, at 10:00am. If you plan to attend, please line up at the main gate of the cemetery 15 minutes prior to service time. as the military is very strict on time. A BBQ lunch will be held at the home of Randy and Diane Linder immediately following the service at 3849 Canyon Heights Rd, Belton, TX 76513
