Funeral services for Shirley F. Henager, 88, of Belton, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Moody with Rev. Ken Laney officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby.
The family will receive friends for visitation, at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Henager died Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in a Belton Assisted Living Center.
Mrs. Henager was born March 21, 1935, in Blackwell, the daughter of Julius Taylor Brice and Shellie Faye (Parker) Brice. She married Marvin L. Henager February 7, 1953, in Merkel. She worked for Kings Daughters Hospital as a Dietary Aid and retired in 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Moody.
She was preceded in death by her husband May 26, 2020.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Henager and wife Cynthia; two daughters Janie Baker and husband Olen, and Vickie Watts and husband Eddie; two brothers Leon Brice and Leslie Brice; four sisters Juanita Bradley, Oleta Webb, Odell McGinnis, and Frances Faglie; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Moody.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stoney Brook of Belton for their excellent care.
