Dr. Scott A. McAninch, age 45, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Scott was born April 22, 1976, to Allen and Freida (Jenkins) McAninch in Dallas, Texas. Scott attended Dallas Baptist University and Texas A&M College of Medicine. He married Lauren Sargent on March 15, 2003, in Belton. Scott bravely served in the United States Army and Texas Task Force One. He practiced Emergency Medicine at Baylor Scott and White in Temple.

Please join us in celebrating Scott’s life at 10:30 am Thursday December 9, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 5pm to 7pm at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Allen McAninch and three precious babies that were born into the arms of angels.

Survivors include his wife, Lauren McAninch; three daughters, Meckenzie, Katelyn and Addison McAninch; a son, Ethan McAninch; mother, Freida McAninch; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Dianna Sargent; brother and sister-in-law, Shawn and Chrystal Thomas.
