Visitation will be Thursday, 29 June 2023 from 5-7pm at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton TX.
Funeral Service will be Friday, at 10 am, 30 June 2023 at Dossman Funeral Home, burial to follow without procession at Moody Cemetery, Moody TX. Officiated by Brother Mickey Fugitt. Pallbearers will be, Sandy Teague, James Martin, Kyle Skipper, Jerry Davis, Russell Emmons, and Matthew Beaumont.
Roy passed away in the hospital in Waco on Sunday, June 25th, 2023.
He was born in Atoka Oklahoma to Albert and Fannie Nix Dillard on November 14th, 1936.
Roy moved to Moody, Texas when he was six years old. He met and married the love of his life Ruby Hein in Moody, TX in 1958. Roy and Ruby had 65 wonderful years together. Roy was an auto mechanic in Moody and loved to rebuild tractors. He also enjoyed taking his family to Lake Belton, going fishing, and racing cars. He loved to raise a garden and raise chickens.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Dillard of Moody, Sons Dale Dillard and wife Wendy of Robinson, David Dillard and wife Donna of Moody, Daughter Rose Davis and husband Jerry of Moody, Brother Frankie Emmons and wife Sherry of Oglesby, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Earl Emmons, Charles Emmons, sister Bea Fletcher (Aunt Bea).
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at Scott and White Waco for all of their care during his last week.
