Ron Whitaker

January 18, 1948 — June 7, 2021

Ron Whitaker, 73, of Austin, formerly of Chelsea, Alabama, died Monday, June 7, 2021 in a Temple Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Whitaker was born January 18, 1948 in Rockville Centre, New York, the son of Agnes Veronica (Coughlin) Whitaker and Raymond A. Whitaker. He married William Herm December 28, 2015 in Manhattan, New York. He lived in Irving, Texas before moving to Alabama. Mr. Whitaker was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He worked in sales for Nordstroms in Dallas in the Men's Department and later for Publix in Alabama. He had recently moved to Austin.

Survivors include his husband William Herm of Austin; daughter Dana Womack and husband Michael of Garland; two grandchildren Erich and Alex Womack.
