Rodney Dean Schoolcraft

Funeral services for Rodney Dean Schoolcraft 65, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 7, 2020, at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Sam Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Schoolcraft was born June 16, 1954 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Virgil Jay Schoolcraft and Carolyn Mae Burchfield Schoolcraft.  He married Julie Watkins November 1, 1971 in Kaufman.  Since 1981 he has been self employed with Rodney's Roofing in Bell County.

Mr. Schoolcraft was preceded in death by his parents Virgil Jay Schoolcraft and Carolyn Mae Turner; and an infant daughter, Teresa Schoolcraft.

Survivors include his wife Julie Schoolcraft of Belton; Two sons and daughters-in-law Rodney Schoolcraft II and wife Lisa of Belton and Randy Schoolcraft I and wife Summer of Temple; two sisters Marla Jones of Burnet and Barbara Owens of Temple; four grandchildren Dalton, Randy Jr, Garrett and Isabella and three great grandchildren Aliyah, Khole and Adrynn.
