Robert Earl Maxwell passed away in the McAllen hospital, McAllen Texas on May 6th, 2024.

Funeral services will be at 2pm on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home with burial  to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Belton, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, May 17th, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton, Texas.

Robert was born November 21st, 1954, in Belton Texas to Troy and Betty Joyce McDaniel Maxwell.

Robert was a long-time resident of Belton, Texas, he started work at age 15 as a trash collector for the City of Belton and continued with waste disposal for most of his working years.  Robert loved his cigars and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, but his greatest joy was playing with his kids.  He was a very devoted family man.

Robert is survived by his sons; Robert Lee Maxwell of Lopena, Texas, William Taylor of Tombstone, Arizona, and Ennis Taylor of Belton, Texas. Daughters; Christine Taylor, Joyce Crumm, Kathy Smith all of Belton, Texas. Brother John Wayne McNamara and 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Katie Rhymes Maxwell, son David Taylor, daughter Jessie Guthrie and sisters Bernice Hollingsworth and Betty Lynn McNamara.
