Richard William Gilbert

Services for Richard William Gilbert, 83, of Belton will be 10 Am Friday in Bell Plains Cemetery. Mr. Gilbert died July 31, 2020 at a Temple hospital.

He was born June 3, 1937 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to Richard Gilbert and Mary Undercoffier. He married Lynell Cassidy in 1959, she preceded him in death in 2010. He served in the United States Army for 26 years earning Vietnam Service Medal; Presidential  Unit Citation; National Defence Service Medal, and serving as Military Police and  a Correctional Specialist. He was known to have a green thumb.

Survivors include a son, Richard Gilbert; two daughters, Jessica Gilbert and Suzanne Conrad; three grandchildren, Jamie Gooch, Jacob Conrad and Jodie Salazar and three great grandchildren, Brock, Bryson and Ruby.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
