Richard Halcomb

October 17, 1946 — December 24, 2022

Forever Fun with Dick and Jayne! Dick Halcomb has found peace now in the presence of God. With sadness in our hearts we find solace knowing he is with our Lord. He passed away 12/24/22 after a seven-year illness of congestive heart failure. Put to rest, he did not die from the China Virus, nor did he take the vaccine and never did he fall ill to the China Virus. Richard Stephen was born in Clinton, Illinois on 10/17/1946 to Lyle and Helen (Jeffrey) Halcomb. Grew up on a farm in Deland IL and graduated from Deland Highschool in 1964. He proudly served with the United States Marine Corp Reserves from 1965 – 1971 and was a proud member of the USMC League. Dick’s entire working career was in the agriculture field. Starting as owner/operator of Halcomb’s Ag Service, he sold/spread fertilizer for area farmers. He then started work at Big Wheels in Paxton, traveling the US and Canada selling Big Wheels. Later he became Sales Rep for various Seed Companies. Always lending a helping hand to all his farmer friends. During his first retirement, he worked for Chris Cowan at B&C Family Farms, finally fully retiring in 2020. He was a member of the American Legion Deland Post #102 and past member of the Lincoln Sportsmen Club and Decatur Gun Club. He enjoyed shooting skeet, trap and sporting clay. He was an avid fan of Tractor Pulling, Drag Racing, NYY and any and all old-time westerns! He married Jayne Rine on 01/15/1983 at the Deland United Methodist Church. With loving memories, he is survived by his wife, Jayne. Mother Helen. Two brothers Doug of Farmer City and Jerry (Lisa) of DeLand. Children Rhonda (Bill) Kissling and their sons Trevor & Mason. Craig Halcomb and his daughters Kaity and Bailey and Lucas Halcomb and his children Mary, Chloe and Braxton. Also, several nieces and nephews and their families who were very dear to him. Preceded in death by his father, and sister-in-law Judi Rine Welker, & niece Jessica Welker. Per his wishes he was cremated and no service.
