Refugio D. Sanchez

Refugio D. Sanchez, 68, of Belton passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at his home in Belton after a brief illness.

No services are planned at this time.

Refugio was born on July 4, 1950 in Mexico to Santiago and Salome (Sanchez) Diaz. He was raised in Mexico and moved to Texas in 1968. Mr. Sanchez married Maria Gonzalez on December 16, 1972 in Mexico. Mr. Sanchez moved to the Belton area in 1984 where he worked construction for several local concrete companies.

Refugio is survived by his wife Maria of Belton, sons Refugio Jr., and Edgar Sanchez of Round Rock, brothers Santiago Diaz, Romel Diaz, sister Marta Montoya, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
