Rebecca Vargas

Rebecca (Sandoval) Vargas, 73, of Temple passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home in Temple.

Funeral services for Rebecca will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Toby Tavarez officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Rebecca was born on January 22, 1948 in Brownsville, Texas to Simon and Josefina (Mares) Sandoval. She married Roberto Vargas on May 16, 1966 in Cameron, Texas and they were married for over 55 years before her passing. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Vargas was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Juanita Vargas; and a brother Silvano Sandoval. She is survived by her husband Roberto; sons Roberto Vargas, Jr., Johnny Vargas, and Paul Vargas and his wife Nekeisha; daughters Josephina Castillo and her husband Florencio, Annie Hatter and her husband Tommy, and Eva Herrera and her husband Lu. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five sisters and 2 brothers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:30-7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
