Rayford Pete of Belton Texas passed away at his home on February 12th, 2025, He was 55 years of age.

Funeral Service will be at 2pm, on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton, Texas with burial to follow at North Belton Cemetery, Belton, Texas.

Rayford was born April 12th, 1969, in Jennings, Louisiana to Thomas and Mary Ann Beverly Pete.

Rayford was a machinist for Wilsonart for most of his life. In 1992 he married Shalaunda Enrika Carter in Temple Texas. While he enjoyed cooking, fishing, and playing golf. What brought the biggest joy was serenading his wife with his “beautiful” karaoke skills. Having family game nights (he would constantly rob the bank in Monopoly), and hosting parties where friends became those he loved as family. Yall know who you are.

Rayford is survived by his wife Shalaunda of Belton, Texas, his son Rayford Pete II of Belton, Texas, daughters Ziamora Pete of Temple, Texas, Raylene & husband Arnold Dionglay of Temple, Texas, his father Thomas Pete of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, brothers Thomas Jr. & wife Valerie Pete of Youngsville, Louisiana,  James Pete of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, Andrew Pete of Richmond, Texas, sister Stella Ann Pete of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and grandchildren Mikaeyla, Myko “Kai” and Mykah Dionglay.

Rayford is preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Pete, brother Dennis Pete and sister Adele Pete.
