Ray Wilkins

Ray Anderson Wilkins, 85, of Belton, Texas, entered his eternal life November 21, 2021.

Ray was born November 26, 1935 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas to Curtis and Nova Wilkins.  His early years were spent in Slaton, Texas, where he married the love of his life, Betty Jean Olive, in a double wedding with his twin brother, Raymond and his fiancé, Betty Ruth, on May 29, 1955.

Ray and Betty settled in Morgan’s Point in the late 1970’s and became members of First Baptist Church in Belton.

Ray sold cars at various dealerships before deciding to work for himself, purchasing automobiles at auctions and bringing new life to them before putting them up for sale.

Ray loved spending time with friends, admiring nature, and looking at the moon.  But, he most loved spending time, and playing 42, with his family.

Ray was reunited in heaven with his wife of 65 years, parents, brother Raymond, daughter Carla Sanford, son Brent Wilkins, and grandson Brently Wilkins.

He is survived by daughter Angela Stephens and her husband Jim Stephens of Moffat, Texas, daughter Dana Allen of Mesa, Arizona, and Debbie Elliott of Austin, Texas.  Ray also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and his sister, Vickie Moore.

A graveside service at Moffat Cemetery will be Friday, December 10 th at 10:00 am.
