Randy Powell

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to services.

Mr. Powell died Thursday, November 25, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Powell was born April 15, 1952, in Houston, the son of Merritt Reuben Powell Jr. and Gloria Yvonne (Adams)  Powell.  He was a graduate of SMU where he played football.   He married Gail (Gipson) Gray, November 15, 1975 in Richardson.   They moved to central Texas in 2007 from Palestine.   He was a licensed professional counselor and had Community Counselling in Belton until retiring in 2019.    He was a member of Leon Valley Church of Christ where he served as an Elder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Powell.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Gail Powell of Temple, son Stephen Gray and his wife Norma of Mico, two daughters, Stephanie Haley and husband John of Plant City,Florida  and Jennifer Williams and husband Jeremy of Dallas, one sister Paula Nordt of Fulshear; eleven grandchildren, Chase Haley, Reagan Haley,  Austin Haley, Reese Haley, Hendon Haley, Tristan Haley, and Savannah Gray, Sam Gray, and Dani Gray, Ella Williams and Lucy Williams;   and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Barrett.
