Ramona Solis Ybarra Lopez

Ramona Lopez, 96, of Salado, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023, in Temple, Texas.

Ramona was born on August 9, 1926, in Jarrell Texas, to Gregorio and Julia Ybarra, and was raised in and around Schwertner, Texas.

After marriage and having children, she and Inacio moved to Salado to raise their family where she lived the rest of her life. She worked at Stagecoach Inn in Salado for many years and retired in 1987.  Ramona enjoyed sewing, cooking, and watching Telenovelas and listening to Spanish music. She also enjoyed being outside and watering her plants. She loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren.

Ramona is survived by her sons Albert Lopez and wife Cathy of Salado, Texas, Inacio Lopez Jr. and wife Senaida of Belton, Texas, and Michael Lopez and wife Stacy of Temple, Texas. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Inacio G. Lopez, sons Johnny and David Lopez, parents, brothers Marcelino, Domingo, Cleto, and Luis Ybarra, sisters Chenta Luna, Olivia Guzman, and Guadalupe Rodriguez.

Viewing will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Dossman Funeral home from 5-7 pm, with Rosary to follow.

Mass will be on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Salado at 10:00 am, with burial following the mass service at Salado Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity or to St. Stephens youth group.
