Pyett Christopher Bruton

Pyett Christopher Bruton, 49, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his home in Temple after a long struggle with his health over the last several years.

Funeral services for Pyett will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Pyett was born on December 31, 1970 in Temple to Calvin and Norma Jean (Meyers) Bruton. He attended Belton schools and later worked as a painter among other trades. He was well liked by all those who met him and fondly remembered by the many friends he made along the way.

He was known for his love of cars and anything that involved speed. He could often be found working on a car, going to the drag strip or something else that was car related.

Survivors include his mother of Temple, son Peyton Bruton of Waco, brother Brandon Bruton of Temple, and sisters Bobbie Watkins of Belton and Wendy Bruton of Temple.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home.
