Polly Daniel Spears

A celebration of life luncheon will be held for Polly Daniel Spears, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the Belton Church of Christ Welcome Center.

Mrs. Spears died June 30, 2021 in a Temple hospital.

Born Victoria Lucille "Polly" Morgan, October 21, 1927, in Bakersfield, California, Mrs. Spears was the daughter of Bayless J. Morgan and Jewel Murray Morgan.    She moved to Belton as an infant.  She was a graduate of Belton High School and Mary Hardin Baylor.   She married Edwin F. "Jack" Daniel October 21, 1950, in Belton.  He preceded her in death in July 1988.  She married Dan Spears April 28, 2004, in Temple.   He died in 2016.

Mrs. Spears was a teacher and taught, as Mrs. Daniel, in Florence and Salado before retiring in 1982.  She was a long time member of First Christian Church in Temple.

Mrs. Spears was also preceded in death by her great grandson Gus Smith in 2020.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Smith and husband C. A. of Belton; two grandchildren Jennifer Smith and Chet Smith both of Belton.
