Phyllis Maxine (Ogden) Long, 88, of Belton passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Baylor-Scott and White in Temple.
Graveside services for Mrs. Long will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen with Rev. H.K. Ballard officiating.
Phyllis was born on June 14, 1932 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to Philip and Marion (Woomer) Ogden. She married Carl "Bob" Long on July 18, 1953 in North Hollywood, California. She moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1963 where Bob began a career with NASA and they lived there until 1996 when they moved to Georgetown. While in Pasadena, Mrs. Long was very involved with the Methodist Church where she served as the church secretary. Phyllis moved to Belton in 1999 where she lived until her passing. She and Bob celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this July.
Mrs. Long was preceded in death by 9 siblings, Irvin, Clarence, Stuart, Kathryn, Twilla, Anna Marie, James, Warren, and Lyle. She is survived by her husband Bob of Belton, son Philip of Lakewood, CA., daughter Beth Ann of Los Gatos, CA., grandsons Seth and Scott, granddaughters Emily and Kelly, and great granddaughter Charlie.
Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
