Peter John Testa

October 14, 1924 — January 20, 2024

Peter John Testa Sr. passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024, at the age of 99. He was known as Pete, Mr. Pete, Dad, Grandpa, and Old Grandpa. However, he was known, to know him was to love him.

Dad served proudly in the US Army during WWII. He lived the first half of his life in Buffalo, NY and retired to sunny Florida with his loving wife. There, he and our mom, danced through a new life until their health brought them to Texas to be near their daughter.

Dad’s legacy is his three children. Peter Testa Jr; Michael Testa (Carol) and Carolyn Williams.

Grandpa has six grandchildren that will cherish their years with him and his memory. Paul Testa (Debbie), Danielle Pennington (Seth), Lauren Richardson (Drew), Lesley Sauls (Alex), Gregory Dachs (Emily), and Elizabeth Smith (Derek).

Old Grandpa welcomed twelve great grandchildren into the world. He frequently would recline in his chair and smile while looking at all of them saying “This is all because of me.”

Dad was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, our mother, Marian Testa, his beautiful daughter-in-law Diane, and his warm hearted son-in-law, Wendell.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 12:00 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton, TX. Interment will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, on Monday, January 29th at 9:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ralph Wilson Youth Club or Our Hospice House of Temple.
