Peter Alexander Hall

July 11, 1991 — November 1, 2020

Peter Alexander Hall, our beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and boyfriend has left us
for his final journey to meet God.
Peter was born in Belleville, Illinois on July 11th, 1991 to the happiness of his mother and father, Shari
and Jeff, and sister Sara. He grew up in Columbia, Illinois with Sara and brother Hank, sharing his life
with his many friends. He loved being in nature and spent his early days bike riding in the woods and on
the streets, building forts, digging holes, playing roller hockey and making lego buildings in the
basement. He loved his Aunt Billie Sue who lived nearby.
In 2005, he moved with the family to Belton, Tx, where he graduated from high school. He participated in
cross country and track and loved to run through the neighborhood, continuing his running into
adulthood.
While in high school, he and his brother, along with the neighborhood kids spent several weeks working
together to build a large, middle ages-style trebuchet. They loved using it to toss large objects, like
watermelons, through the air. This was the start of his interest in an engineering career.
He attended Texas Tech University until 2015, earning a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and a
masters in Systems Engineering, and was actively working on his PhD. He taught himself multiple
programming languages in pursuit of his final degree and was writing a natural language processor in R.
Peter loved to explore the outdoors world with running, hiking, camping, biking, and skiing. He became
seriously interested in biking after his Masters program, while working for Stratasys 3d printing. He was
on a team of co-workers that participated in the Triple-Bypass, a 150 mile bike ride through the peaks of
Colorado, and he was proud to have been able to finish that.
Peter had a dream to live in the mountains and in 2018 was able to find a job in Los Alamos, New
Mexico, which gave him the opportunity of his life. He built many friendships while living in Santa Fe,
and grew to love his girlfriend Brittany Adam. He said he loved Santa Fe very much, and did not want to
ever leave the mountains.
While working on his PhD in engineering, Peter began a startup consulting firm, Alexander Hall
Consulting, to bring his engineering problem solving to the public. This was his primary career goal .
We will remember Peter for his big smile, his intense character, his love of animals, and his caring nature
that all around him felt. We have all been forever changed by knowing Peter and having him in our lives.
Our hearts are broken by his absence.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eldon and Alice Kohler and Milton and Phyllis Hall, his
aunt Robin Kohler, and his great-aunt Billie Sue Gilmore. He is survived by his parents Jeff and Shari
Hall, brother Hank Hall, sister Sara Isbell-Wheeler, and brother-in-law Jake Wheeler, and many other
extended family.
Services will be December 12, 2020, 2 pm, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas. The website has
a link under Peter’s name for those that are not able to attend in person and can view a live stream of the
service.
In the summer of 2021, the family will return to Santa Fe, New Mexico to meet with friends and leave
Peter’s ashes on the trails in the mountains that he loved. You are welcome to join us in that final tribute
to Peter.
