Pedro Vega

Funeral services for Pedro Vega, 60, of Temple, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Dossman Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hillman officiating burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Pedro died Friday, September 3, 2021, at a Temple hospital. He was born in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and was raised in Santa Maria, California by his uncle and aunt Willie and Corina Vega.  He got married on April 11, 1981, to his ex-wife Rosemary Galvan.

Pedro Vega worked as a custodian for both Temple and Belton Independent School Districts for 25+ years.  He loved working with the school districts and for the children in the schools he worked in.  He also loved walks, spending time with family, watching and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Most importantly, he loved being a part of his church, Calvary Apostolic Church.  He spent time working at the church to maintain and upkeep because he loved being a part of it.  He also spent time working with the youth at the church to teach them life skills and responsibilities to help them prosper in life.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Isela Marine Vega.

Survivors include three sons, Peter Junior Vega and his wife, Joseph Isaac Vega and Isaac Manning; three daughters, Joanna Marie Gist and her husband, Maria Inez Vega, and Christina Vega all of Temple; four siblings, Martha Celia-Marine Vega, Alma Graciela-Marine Vega, Demasco Marine Vega, and Lucia Marine Vega and seven grandchildren, Caleb Nathaniel Vega, Fabian Hernandez, Ace Vega, Alyssa Marie Gist, Layla Vega, Andrea Inez Vega, Adisyn Grace Gist.

Family and friends will be welcome to attend a visitation service from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on September 10, 2021, at Dossman Funeral
