Oscar Cavazos, 69 of Killeen passed away on Friday, October 17, 2020 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
Funeral Services for Oscar will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. The Service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by visiting dossmanfh.com. A visitation will be held on Friday Evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Oscar was born on November 21, 1950 in Mercedes, Texas to Pablo Cavazos and Odilia Silva. He moved to Belton Texas in 1969 where he made his living as a truck driver for Garey Construction as well as Belcrete Ready Mix in Belton. His devotion to Jehovah God was his purpose and joy in life along with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He loved to barbecue and enjoyed spending time with his family. His smile and beautiful blue eyes would light up the room and fill everyone with so much happiness. His heart was so big and he always had a smile and a hug waiting for you, to know him was to love him. No matter the circumstances he was faced with, it never broke his loving spirits.
Survivors include his wife Clelia Quintero Cavazos of Killeen; four daughters, Norma Cavazos of Temple; Rubysela Steward and husband Jason Steward of Temple; Noemy Jaramillo and husband Frankie Jaramillo of Wichita Falls; Maricarmen Cavazos of Killeen; one son; Ryan Cavazos and wife Vanessa Cavazos of Fort Worth; two stepchildren; Ember Quintero and Ana Vilchez. Also surviving are his 26 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; Siblings; Jesus Cavazos, Pablo Cavazos, Apolonio Cavazos, Juan Jose Ramirez, Flora E. Cavazos, Odilia Costilla, Ana B. Cavazos, Alicia Cavazos, Rosa M. Garcia, Maria A. Barrios, and Sonia A. Ramirez.
Oscar was preceded in death by his father Pablo Cavazos and mother Odilia Silva; 3 sons; Jose Pablo Cavazos, Oscar Cavazos Jr, Abraham Cavazos; 2 grandsons; David Michael Leza Jr. and Elias Frankie Jaramillo; 1 great granddaughter; A’niya Hill.
Oscar, Dad, Grandpa, we love you with all our hearts and we will forever embrace all of the amazing memories you left behind. We aren’t saying goodbye to you today, just see you later. Until we meet again, rest in heaven and watch over every one of us.
