Funeral services for Norman D. Winkler, 92, of Belton, will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 18, 2022, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Belton with Pastor Luke Madsen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery at The Grove.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Winkler died Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in a Temple Nursing Home.
Mr. Winkler was born, March 7, 1930 in Loebau, Texas, the son of Oscar Fredrich Winkler and Anna Christine (Beissert) Winkler. He married Frances Eileen Winkler, December 28, 1952 at The Grove.
Mr. Winkler worked for the Highway Department, Melvin Construction, as a Belton Police Officer and retired from Central Texas Council of Governments. He was a founding member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Belton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, February 1, 2021 and all his siblings.
Survivors include three sons, David Winkler and wife Marsha, Chris Winkler and wife Miriam and Kyle Winkler; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
