Graveside services for Nella J. Robinson, 85, of Belton, will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2020, at North Belton Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 2:00 to 4:00 on Friday at Dossman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Robinson died Wednesday August 19, 2020 at a Temple Hospital.

Mrs. Robinson was born October 4, 1934 in Rogers, the daughter of Henry Neal Sloan and Minnie Jewel (Green) Sloan.  She married Rev. Donald L. Robinson December 29, 1955 in Temple.   She attended Academy High School.  As a member of the girls’ basketball team, they went to the state finals and lost by a very narrow margin.

For more than 30 years Mrs. Robinson managed circulation of the Temple Telegram in Bell County, the area west Belton to Nolanville.

Mrs. Robinson and her husband were founding members of First Baptist Church of Lake Belton.  The church existed until his death in 2005.  She was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005 and one son, Ricky Lynn Robinson of Mateo, California in 2018.

Survivors include one son, Larry Don Robinson of Belton and one daughter Melissa Dawn Johnson of Washington State and four of grandchildren.
