Naomi Ross

Naomi (Rhoades) Lewis Ross, 78, of Temple passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

A visitation for Mrs. Ross will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 from  5-7 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Services will be private.

Naomi was born on July 27, 1941 in Temple to C.Y. and Mary Alice (Tutor) Rhoades. She was a 1959 graduate of Temple High School and later attended Temple Junior College in Temple. She married L.B. Lewis on August 14, 1959 and they were married for 50 years before he passed away in 2009. She later married Larry Ross on September 29, 2012. Mrs. Ross worked for many years at Griggs Manufacturing in Belton and later for Best Rite Chalkboard in Temple before she retired. Naomi attended Victory Baptist Church in Temple and also played piano for many years at the First Assembly of God and at Faith Temple in Killeen.

Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her daughter Suzi Ricci in 2016. She is survived by her husband Larry Ross of Temple, daughters Janah Bruton and her husband Steve of Arlington and Karla Loechel and her husband Horst of Belton, brother Ronnie Rhoades of Belton, sisters Jeanne Isdale of Harker Heights and Barbra Saxton of Lufkin, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her daughter Suzi's memory to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 480, Columbia, MD. 21044.
