Myron Wesley “Wes” Ferguson, a beloved teacher and devoted family man, passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 67 in Temple, TX. Born on February 21, 1958, in Denton, TX, Wesley devoted his life to education and shared his passion for learning with countless students throughout his career. A memorial service to honor Wesley’s life will be held at Dossman Funeral Home, located at 2525 N Main St, Belton, TX 76513, on April 12, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join together to celebrate the life and legacy of this remarkable man. His impact on those he encountered will not be forgotten, and he will be deeply missed by all.
Wesley's dedication extended beyond the classroom; he was an avid motorcycle lover and a great member of his community. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, particularly indulging in his favorite drink, Dr. Pepper, which he loved so much he turned it into the one tattoo he had. A proud member of the Chickasaw nation. Wesley embraced his heritage and enriched those around him with his cultural knowledge and experiences.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Ferguson; his sons, Trey and wife Alicia and Sam and wife Cecilia Ferguson; his brother, Casey Ferguson; and his sisters, Lianne Smalley and Suzanne "Radon" Ferguson. Myron cherished his role as a grandfather to Liam River and Songbird Lathel. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Clayton Bachman; mother-in-law, Nancy Bachman; as well as nephews Thoran, Ryan, Justin, James, Alec and Avery, and nieces Annie, Olivia. Bringing joy to his home were his beloved pets, Izzie, Gracie, Daisy, and Bubby, who filled his days with happiness.
