Minnie "Nanny" Katherine Staton

Graveside services for Minnie Katherine "Nanny"  Staton, 80, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the North Belton Cemetery with Minister Gwen Tanner officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.

Mrs. Staton died Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at her home in Temple surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Staton was born August 20, 1939, in North Belton, the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Smith) Guthrie.   She married Jimmy Don Staton September 21, 1957 in Belton.  She was a homemaker, but also a dog groomer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, April 22, 1991 also four brothers, Thurman Guthrie, Joe Dean Guthrie, Bill Guthrie and Kenneth Guthrie; two sisters Juanice Westerfield and Pat True.

Survivors include two sons Tim Staton and wife Aileen,  Darryle Staton and wife Joanna; two daughters Karen Thomas and husband Roy and Charlotte Staton; one brother Jack Guthrie and wife Sandy; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
