Minnie Ola (Hayes) Cox, 92, of Belton passed away at a Belton Care Center.
Funeral services for Minnie will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.
Minnie was born on April 27, 1929 in Gatesville to Luther and Mildred (Sydow) Hayes. Mrs. Cox was raised in the Gatesville area and attended school there. She married Glen E. Cox on July 4, 1948 in Gatesville and they were married for almost 54 years before he passed away in 2002. Mrs. Cox worked for many years for Bell County as a payroll clerk until she retired in 1995. Minnie was a longtime member of the Belton Church of Christ and later at Ave T Church of Christ in Temple.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; brother Curtis "Buck" Hayes; and sisters Glyn Bell and Norma McKinney. SHe is survived by her sons Glen W. Cox of Belton and Robert "Bob" Cox of Galveston; daughter Carrie True of Belton; sisters Wonnie Bell Morgan of Alvin and Dessie Lee Harrell of Temple; 6 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM, one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
