Milton Wayne Martin

Milton Wayne Martin of Belton, Texas died on March 18, 2020 in Belton, Texas. Mr. Martin was born in the family home in Barclay, Falls County on March 25, 1934 to Carl G. and Willie M. (Francis) Martin. On August 13, 1955 he married Frances Marie Machalek in Temple. Together, they had 5 children and celebrated 64 years of marriage. Milton was a missionary. That was his calling, his passion and his identity. He often said that he would rather be a missionary than the president of the United States and that was evident in every aspect of his life. He fulfilled that calling in over 40 countries and spent over 30 years serving in southern Mexico. Thousands of believers and hundreds of churches among various indigenous groups of Mexico is the fruit of his labor. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Frances on August 25, 2019 and one son, Paul Martin, on January 29, 2008. Survivors include his daughter, Beth Lott and husband David of San Ramon, Peru and three sons – Bruce Martin and wife Proviann of Fort Worth, TX, Dan Martin and wife Jennifer of Charlotte, NC, and Benjamin Martin and wife Becky of Rogers, TX; one sister, Melba St Romain and husband Paul of Lecompte, LA; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
