CLICK HERE TO VIEW SERVICE Michael Christopher Ortiz passed away in Belton on January 15th, 2023, at the young age of 37. He was born August 15th, 1985, in West Chester, PA, to Deborah Dawn Vazquez (Black) and Miguel Angel Ortiz. Michael was a proud U.S. Army - Combat Veteran. He wore his veteran hat loud and proud! Michael didn’t feel he was doing his part as a Soldier, so he volunteered to deploy in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, September 2005 - December 2006. He gave 6 years to the United States Army. He loved being a Soldier! Michael made the decision to hang up his hat, so Silvia could pursue her military career. He also served as a military spouse for 10 years. Michael was a jokester. He loved making the people he loved laugh. He often joked and played pranks just to get a smile out of everyone. He was such a loving, compassionate, kindhearted, and giving human being. He was a great father, son, brother, friend, and soldier. If he had it, he gave it! If he saw someone that needed help, he didn’t hesitate and would help in any way possible! Michael loved his kids, his family, friends, fishing, and oh boy did he love those Tennessee Titans. Above all he loved GOD! He is survived by his children; Andrew Julian Ortiz (15), Alana Jasmin Ortiz (14), Caitlin Mayberry (19), Michael “Mikey” Ortiz (20), his sister Daniela Alonso, and his lifelong best friend Silvia Lavallee. He lives behind a legacy of love and laughter. Michael will be missed tremendously! Visitation: Thursday, February 9th, 2023, 9am – 10 am.
