Michael Ross Evetts, 67, of Oglesby passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple after a short illness.
Funeral services for Michael will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton. Burial will be private.
Michael was born on October 3, 1951 in Temple, Texas to Buford Braxton and Anita (Ross) Evetts. He was raised in Temple and graduated from Temple High School in 1970. Mr. Evetts began a career as an engineer for Santa Fe Railroad and worked there for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He then worked as a butcher at Whole Foods in Austin, and finally as a rural mail carrier in Crawford and then in Oglesby from 1998-2015.
Mr. Evetts was preceded in death by his father, his mother and brother when he was 3 years old, and sisters Cindy Evetts Pickett and Deborah Kay Orlandi. He is survived by his partner Paul Brown of Oglesby, Texas, mother Dorothy "Andy" Evetts of Belton, and sisters Phyllis Evetts of Austin and Beth Burleson of Belton.
Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
