Melba Joyce Parrish

Melba Joyce Parrish, 87, of Temple, passed away on December 31, 2023, at Scott and White Hospital.

There are no planned services for her at this time.

She was born on September 3, 1936, in Weatherford, TX. to Lanham and Lois Phillips.

Melba had a great love for horses and John Deere tractors. She collected tractors, at one point owning 45 of them. She enjoyed going to the casinos and playing slots. She also loved bowling. She was a great bowler, earning herself at least 6 trophies in different competitions.

She is survived by 3 sons, Scott Ansay, John Ansay, Joe Ansay, and Jim Ansay; one brother, James Phillips; 2 sisters, Wanda Phillips, and Ruby Garrett; and 4 grandchildren, Justin Ansay, Alisha Ansay, Jimmy Ansay, and Logan Ansay.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; and 2 brothers, Bill Phillips, and Sam Phillips.
