Mateo Valenzuela

Mateo Valenzuela, 81, of Killeen passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen after a short illness.

A funeral service for Mr. Valenzuela will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Deacon Margarito officiating.

Mateo was born on October 1, 1937 in Francisco Javier Mina, Mexico to Albino and Camerina (Garcia) Valenzuela. He was raised in Mexico and worked for many years as a farmer there and later in California. He moved to Killeen in 2015 to be closer to family. Mr. Valenzuela married Maria Del Rosario Rodriguez-Ramirez on April 24, 1982 in Mexico.

Mr. Valenzuela is survived by his wife Maria of Killeen, son Juan Antonio Valenzuela of Belton, daughters Maria Del Rosario Valenzuela of Killeen, and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez of Killeen.

A visitation for Mr. Valenzuela will be held on Friday evening at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton from 6-7 PM, and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM by Deacon Margarito.
