Mary Tawater

Services for Mary Nell (Gott) Tawater, 90, of Florence will be 2:00 Pm Friday January 15, 2021 at Dossman Funeral Home with H.K. Ballard officiating. Mrs. Tawater died Monday January 11, 2021 at a Belton nursing home with her daughter at her side.

She was born August 3, 1930, in Belton to Willie Edward and Elizabeth (Schweng) Gott. She graduated from Belton High School. She retired from Owens Illinois glass plant and volunteered with Citizens on Patrol in Waco. She loved to hunt, fish and bowl and was a member of the senior center in Waco. She raised 4 step children, Chuck Tawater, Carla Holocek and husband Mike, Michelle Wenicke and husband Mike and Michael Tawater.

Survivors include three sons, Randy Unger of Bellmead, Tx, Danny Unger of Mexia, Tx and Larry Unger and wife Tena of Mount. Calm, Tx; three daughters, Brenda Black of San Marcos, Tx, Lissa Combs and husband Robert of Florence, Tx and Gina Marshall and husband DeWayne of China Spring, Tx; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday 5 pm to 7 pm at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Tx.
