Mary Katherine Myers

Mary Katherine "Kathy" Myers, 62, of Morgans Point went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Baylor-Scott and White hospital in Temple.

A Celebration of Life for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Belton with Rev. Jeff Miller officiating. She will be laid to rest at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas at a later date.

Kathy was born on December 31, 1958 in Beaumont, Texas to Albert Wayne "Buddy" and Juanita Moody (Cook) Myers. She was raised in Beaumont and graduated from South Park High School in 1977. She worked for many years as a clerk for the government and a privately owned family business and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Belton.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Cook Fortenberry. She is survived by her brother Richard Cook (Deona) of El Lago, Texas; sisters Georgia Cook Bagley of Georgetown, Texas; Jane Cook McAlister of Boerne, Texas; and Candice Cook Button (Chuck) of Belton, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, 205 East 3rd Ave., Belton, Texas 76513.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
