Mary Ellen Schmidt

Mrs. Schmidt was born December 22, 1941, in Seguin, the daughter of Helmuth and Evangeline (Doerr) Erxleben.  She married Weldon F. Schmidt, December 16, 1961 in Geronimo, at Friedens Lutheran Church.   She was a member of the Sons of Hermann-Laubach Lodge 244.   She was a member of Moody Leon Methodist Church.

Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her daughter, Trisha Deneen Schmidt Henry in 2015.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Weldon F. Schmidt; two sons, Mark Anthony Schmidt and wife Johnnie, and Michael Alan Schmidt and wife Sherri; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
