Graveside services for Mary Frances Brown, 96, of Belton, will be held at 10 AM Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Sharp Cemetery near Rockdale, with Bob Livingston officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
Mrs. Brown died Monday, January  16, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Brown was born August 23, 1926 in Rockdale the daughter of   Charlie  and Mary (Dixon) Duncan.  She was a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor where she received her undergraduate.  She later received her Masters Degree from Baylor University.  She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
She married W. E. Bill Brown, July 25, 1948, in Rockdale.   Mrs. Brown was a full time teacher for 27 years and a substitute for another 28 years.   She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belton, where she was a member of Women of the Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and one son, Steven Lane Brown in 2003.
Survivors include her son Ronnie Brown and his wife Denise, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
