Maria Filomena (Montano) Quinones, 93, of Belton passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her home in Belton.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Christ The King Catholic Church in Belton with Father Sang officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Filomena was born on October 4, 1927 in Winters, Texas to Pablo and Amparo (Maldonado) Montano. She grew up in Mexico. She married Gabriel Quinones on June 11, 1950 in Durango, Mexico and he preceded her in death in 2006. She moved to Belton in 1975 and was a homemaker and attended church at Christ The King in Belton. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
Mrs. Quinones was preceded in death by her husband Gabriel; children Pepe, Tonito, Arturo, Chayo, and Lucita Quinones; and siblings Guadalupe Montano, Margarito Montano, Pablo Montano, Jorge Montano, and Graciela Montano. She is survived by sons Gabriel Quinones and wife Teresa of Belton, and Humberto Quinones and his wife Benita of Temple; daughters Maria Gonzales and Husband Jose of Belton, Trinidad Partida and her husband Antonio of Holland, and Yolanda Sarinana and her husband Sergio of Belton. Also surviving are siblings Melchor Montano or Mexico City, Rogelio Montano of Mexico City, Jose Montano of Durango, and Maria McElroy of Temple, Texas, 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 5-7 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM recited by Deacon Armando.
