Funeral services for Maria Manuela Carrillo, 64 of Rogers will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Rogers. Burial will follow at the Rogers City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation 5-7 PM Thursday, evening, January 11, 2024, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Rosary at 7 PM.

Mrs. Carrillo died Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home in Rogers.

Mrs. Carrillo was born September 28, 1959, in Graceros, San Vicente Guerrero, Durango, Mexico, the daughter of Simon Soto Delfin and Maria Andrade Alvarez.

She married Fidel Lopez Carrillo February 1978 in Mexico.  They made their home in central Texas in 1980.  She was truly a homemaker. She was a pillar of the St. Matthews Catholic Church congregation, known for her unwavering dedication to the community. She has been an integral part of various church activities and initiatives, always ready to offer support and guidance to those in need. Her commitment to serving others has left a lasting impact on the church and its members.

Mrs. Carrillo was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

Survivors include her husband Fidel L. Carrillo, son Michael Carrillo and wife Jacqueline; daughter Ana Carrillo and husband James Ybarra; one brother Simon Soto Andrade and sister Irma Soto Andrade; five grandsons, Jayvian Daniel Stirman, Adrian Isaiah Carrillo, Jameson Blake Ybarra, Austin Michael Carrillo, and Noah Eli Carrillo.

Manuela Carrillo’s devotion to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church was unwavering and deeply rooted in her faith and love for her community. Manuela’s commitment extended beyond attending services and contributed to the community’s spiritual growth. She was known for her compassionate nature and willingness to lend a listening ear to those in need. Manuela’s involvement in the church reflected her strong faith in God and her desire to serve others with love and kindness. She found solace and strength in her faith, and she shared that strength with her husband and was a source of inspiration for her family.

But Manuela’s love didn’t stop there. Manuela Carrillo’s love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and her devotion to her husband Fidel, son Michael, and daughter Ana was unwavering. She dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting her family, creating a home filled with love, warmth, and understanding. Manuela’s love for her husband was evident in the care and respect she showed him, and their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership.

As a mother, Manuela poured her heart and soul into guiding and nurturing her children, Michael, and Ana. She was their pillar of strength, offering support and encouragement as they pursued their dreams and ambitions. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she instilled in them the values of compassion, kindness, and faith in our Lord.

Manuela’s role as a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, and she was adored by her grandchildren—Jayvian, Austin, Adrian, Noah, and Jameson. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories and imparting wisdom that would shape their lives. Her love for her grandbabies was evident in the warmth of her embrace and the twinkle in her eyes whenever they were near. They looked up to her with admiration and affection, knowing she was always there for them with open arms and a loving embrace. Manuela’s home was a place of warmth and laughter, where family bonds were cherished, and memories were made.

Manuela’s love knew no bounds; she had a kind word for everyone she met and a heart full of compassion. Her beautiful soul shone brightly, touching the lives of all who knew her. She lived her life with grace and humility, leaving a legacy of love and kindness that would be remembered for generations to come. She was a beacon of light in her community, spreading love and hope wherever she went. Her strong belief in God directed her every move, and her affection for her family and others stood as proof of the strength of her empathy.
